Welcome to Samoens Chalets,
with listings of Samoens ski chalets and apartments in Samoens, near
Flaine, The Grand Massif, France.
Why go Skiing in Samoens?
When we're talking Samoens skiing,
we're essentially thinking of skiing in the Grand Massif ski region,
which includes Flaine, Morillon, Samoens 1600 and Les
Carroz - the only difference being that Samoens is a
beautiful Alpine village, unlike the concrete eyesore which is Flaine!
The only downside really to staying in accommodations in a Samoens
chalet is that it's not going to be ski-in / ski-out chalet
accommodation, as you will always need to catch the lift up to the ski
area - that downside is we feel more than offset by the fact that
Samoens does really feel like a genuine village, with a good variety of
decent restaurants, as well as interesting shops. Geneva to Samoens
also takes less than and hour, so it's also a great destination for
weekend skiing breaks.

Samoens is part of a ski area called the Grand Massif,
which comprises Flaine, Samoens, Les Carroz and Morillon, Verchaix.
Samoens is less than an hour from Geneva, really characterful old
village, great in summer with outdoor pool, rafting, paragliding,
kayaking, mountain biking etc etc. Key thing skiing-wise is that
it has so much more character than Flaine, but allows you to ski the
same ski area, which is one of the largest in France, with a good snow
record.
